Gas Prices around the region?

It's still $2.79 at the Chevron in Coeburn.

I am beginning to wonder about a few things.
Honestly if you had a vehicle that got 100 miles to the gallon, how much do you think gasoline would be?
Would it be cheap? I doubt it probably 10-15 dollars a gallon. Think about that.
Guys it's the old saying the rich get richer cause they can afford to, while those who work keep the country going.
And we will pay whatever price we have to, because we have to work.
Everyone knows that and everyone on this forum would have to agree with it.
My only problem is. As a country we should have someone in government to stand up and say. Ok now this is enough we need to do something.
One thing i like about Colin Powell, he didn't care to say what he thought, and so far he was fairly accurate on what he said we would see.
Problem is we have no more Colin Powell's in the current administration.

You are right LPD if our Gas needs were less the suply would also be droped so that something like Katrina would still cause a big jump in prices. I do think that there should be some sort of mandate that every new car be a Hybred or get 40ish MPG but I like you dought it would actualy lower Gas/Oil prices

Here is what we'll see
Oh the Hurricane and problems from it caused gas to shoot up, prices to soar but when things get straightened out, it will come back down....or thats what is said.

How many people on here are naive enough to think it will come down as fast as it went up?

where are all the people who are representing us???? I haven't heard one politician say anything about the gas prices. That's what has me confused.

Really? Aren't you supposed to be in Blacksburg? Go ahead, get to Kingsport then before someone from Haysi can get to Clintwood. And wow not knowing where you live in proximity to Gate City and Kingsport, thats a big deal, heck you might be one of the Kingsport tranfers, no wonder you defend it so!!!!

I can get to Haysi almost as quickly as I can Clintwood and I was in the Clintwood High area when I was in school, so lets not go too over the top here, just to get your little wishes and think you make a point. Maybe you should stick to stuff you know about, which judging by reading the forum, seems to be everything, at least in your mind.

I can't figure out how you go to every game GC has, go to every game Tech has, sit on the forum, keep up with every schools recruits in the country, even having scouted 75 of the top 100 recruits in the nation, carried on conversations with them, knowing what they really want/think and feel, do homework, sleep, eat and go to class etc etc etc etc.

was talking bout my house to kingsport but if you wanna be pretty dang stupid and think it was from blacksburg then have at it

and i havent been to a gc game in a while and wont go to any til winter break

but if you live in weber city (which is in the gate city HS area) then you could as well get to kingsport just as fast as you could get to the high school...so whats your point
